Summary_

* Based on a light novel series by Nishio Ishin.

The legendary swordsmith Shikizaki Kiki made 1000 swords in his career. The more swords a state had, the greater success they had in the wars. When the Shogun emerged victorious, he collected 988 of the swords…but those were just practice.

The final twelve swords were the pinnacle of his career. Each of them has powers so extraordinary, one man could defeat small armies.

Shogunate strategist Togame has been ordered to recover them. She first hired a ninja…but the worth of the swords is so great the entire ninja clan defected the moment they recovered one. Then she hired a swordsman…but he kept the sword for himself.

Her last hope is Shichika, the seventh and last practitioner of the Kyotoryuu — No Sword School. He and his sister live on an island cut off from civilization — they have no need for money. His sword school does not use swords — he would not want the swords for himself.

So why should he help her?

Summary_
* Based on Idea Factory‘s Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan romance adventure game aimed at female players.

Upon learning that her father disappeared, a teenaged girl dresses as boy and travels to the city of Kyoto in hopes of finding him. On the first day in the city, she happens to witness a sword fight between some samurai and some demon warriors. Taken into custody by the samurai, she learns that they are the Shinsengumi, a group who know her father and are very interested in learning why his hospital clinic burned down so mysteriously a month before. With no family or friends to turn to, she is forced to count on the dashing and handsome members of the Shinsengumi to further her search.

Note: The story of the 2008 Sony PlayStation 2 game centres around a female protagonist and the historical Shinsengumi samurai group in Kyoto during the 19th century.

Summary_

When an artifact known as the “King’s Seal” is stolen during transport from Soul Society, Hitsugaya Toushirou is assigned to retrieve it. Toushirou goes missing after a battle with the thieves, leading Seireitei to suspect him of treachery. They order his immediate capture and execution. Unwilling to believe him capable of such a crime, Ichigo, Rangiku, Rukia, and Renji set out to find Toushirou and clear his name. Meanwhile, Toushirou is still searching for the thieves, and stumbles upon a dark secret involving a shinigami long since dead.

Summary:  A mysterious reiatsu (spiritual particle) explosion occurs in the center of Seireitei in Soul Society, causing it to be destroyed. At the exact same time, a major change overwhelms Kuchiki Rukia, which leaves her losing something important inside. Urahara Kisuke sends Kurosaki Ichigo to Soul Society to investigate the disturbance. Upon reaching Seireitei, Ichigo is set upon and attacked by shinigamis, once allies, who have no memory of him and Rukia. Summary

The world is over taken with a very deadly disease that turns humans into zombies. In Japan, several students of Fujimi High School, and the school nurse, band together to survive this apocalypse. The story follows Komuro Takashi, one of the students who survived the initial outbreak.

Note: The first episode received an early screening on June 27, 2010 in Tokyo’s Theater Tsutaya, in front of selected viewers who were chosen from a nationwide postcard lottery held until June 14. The earliest television broadcast started on July 5.
